Salient features of fluorescent tubular lamps

Fluorescent tubular lamps are the efficient lighting option for commercial as well as household applications. Luminous efficacy and availability of mordern efficient luminaires, have made Fluorescent Tubular Lamps the most widely used light source in the commercial segment. These lamps are low pressure mercury vapour discharge lamps having the glass shell internally coated with a mixture of fluorescent powders.

Super Saver Lamps (26 mm dia) are the efficient version with a 10% saving on electricity consumption. Triple coil and anode ring enhance the operating life.

Power Lux lamps are special fluorescent lamps with 30% higher light over the traditional FTLs. These lamps have a special coating of triband phosphor which helps in improving the light output as well as colour rendering index.(Ra = 80)

Application areas

  • Standard Fluorescent tubular lamps are used in homes, offices and industries in general.
  • Powerlux is ideally used in departmental stores, garment shops, jewellery shops, hotels and a variety of applications where a high colour rendering index is desired.
  • T5 Lamps are ideal for mordern offices, shopping, malls and similar commercial areas
